> South African Comrades
Day 191 – Fri 9 April -15,691km, Lobito, Angola
Helen and I have landed on our feet again, having been kindly invited to stay in Lobito with Anton, Charlotte & Jess. Hailing from South Africa, we’ve been treated to some great hospitality including an obligatory braai, in fact if Anton had his way, I think he’d even braai his toast in the mornings! Having finally had my Comrades entry confirmed (thanks Colin and Stuart for your help there), the pressure is really on to get in some training. Fortunately all the visa delays & casual riding with Helen, has allowed me to get in quite a few runs and my legs are finally starting to feel less like useless lumps of driftwood. With conditions only cool enough to run in the early morning or late evening, finding the time or energy to run when I’m back on the road southward, will prove to be a real challenge.

Good News !!
Hey Robert,
So glad to hear you've got a place in the Comrades after my unsuccessful attempts to run a marathon for you! I knew you'd be able to pull a few strings to sort it out!
Good luck for the rest of the trip, believe in the Malt Loaf, and I hope theres a forgoodness shakes waiting for you at the finish line!
Looking forward to catching up when you're back.
