> A long overdue wash

Sunday, 15 November 2009 - 12:27

Day 45, 4972km, Cape Barbas, Western Sahara

Smelling worse than a piece of road kill after 5 long sweaty days of desert riding without a wash I finally got a shower this evening after we checked into the first bit of civilisation we had come across in 160km. Fortunately the noses of the French guys I have joined have long since lost their sensitivity to such bodily odours and I will probably ride with them for a few days en route to their final destination, Dakar.

Dave has shown me the simplicity of replying rather than using newsletter e-mail.  I am now personally active.  Would you like to swop youthful energy for a comfortable, clean bed?  Grandkids wouldn't eat fruitsalad this a.m. and we went into great detail  describing Uncle Rob's journey of deprivations;of how he would give anything to swop his loaf for the delicious fruits!! Glad you're clean.  With you in spirit always. Lol Jen and Dave
