> Warm up complete!
Day 17 - Tarifa, Spain. 2,500 km.
Result - I´ve made it to Tarifa in great time and therefore increased my chances of getting good conditions to attempt the swim. The final day of the warm up was far from easy with howling winds and hills agonisingly reducing my speeds to those I experienced heading south through France. On one particularly steep hill with a hellish head wind and various niggles giving me pain I reached an all time low of the trip and got off and pushed. Just when I couldn´t get any more humiliated and angry a 4 x 4 sped past and out the back window a kid gleefully gave me the finger - it´s a good job his parents were unable to hear my x rated retort. That happy little face will haunt my dreams for months!

WAY2GO!
Great progress, Rob! I look forward to discovering how you're going to conquer the water challenge, and whether you'll be posting any images of the marine life that might encounter? Hope your crossing is accomplished in fair weather and calm conditions. Kia kaha!

Have a good rest - next step doggy paddle to Morocco!
