Day 203 – Weds 21 April - 17,206 km, Nunda Lodge, Popo Falls, Namibia
Having been very generously invited to stay at Nunda Lodge, Popo Falls, by the owners Trevor and Eugenie Foster, I knew I did not have far to travel today, which was a good job, because the prevailing headwinds that had been a minor irritation up until now, turned into a full blown enemy on an interminably dull road. Arriving at the Lodge, which is quite literally situated in the Okavango at the present time due to floods, I couldn’t believe my luck at finding myself staying in a beautiful rustic bungalow in such spectacular surroundings. With much of the camp 2ft under water, aquatic neighbours such as hippos and crocs may be getting a little close for comfort, but for the lazy angler at least you can fish from the bar or the bedroom! Taking some time out this afternoon, I gave Bertha what every good lady deserves, some Forbes tlc!
