Day 225 - Thu 13 May ~ 19,181km, Ladysmith, South Africa
It's amazing what freebies you can get for cycling 19,000 km and today was a bumper. Off to a flying start courtesy of Elma's monster fry up, her frankfurter and cheese sandwiches kept me going until local cyclist Jonathan insisted on shouting me a steak sandwich and chip lunch and then Raj and Linda my current kind hosts fixed me up with some finger lickin' chicken.
To top off the wonderful generosity I've been shown some lovely ladies in an accounting store just presented me with 200 Rand to treat myself! Maybe there's a career in this cycling malarkey! I needed a bit of cheering up as I haven't been able to run since Sunday because of an injury and it looks very unlikely I'll be able to take part in the mountain marathon I was eyeing up this Saturday.
