> 10,000 km in the saddle!
Day 105, 10052 km Abomey, Benin – camping under trees
I celebrated reaching the milestone of 10,000 km today by eating a banana for every 1,000 km after accidently buying a weeks supply for under 30p! Progress was slow on undulating dirt roads across Togo’s agricultural plateau & continued to be so till the rarely used border post where I had to wait for the guards to finish their game of cards, to accept cash from locals to cross & then deliberate over the validity of my visa. Once in Benin and back on smooth tarmac, I made time to sample a new form of tasteless pounded starch and a particularly spicy sauce containing unknown meats, fish and egg available according to one’s order!

Congratulations
Woohoo you're well over half way on the cycling front!!! only another 9000 km to go...maybe this mysterious sauce will give you that power boost to charge you through to the next half...not much happening here in the uk, the snow is vanishing so no more snow days, liverpool are out of the FA cup-they got knocked out by Reading:), nothing else worth reporting at this juncture.
Will you be posting some new photos up soon? hope so!
