Day 41, 4326km, Lemsid, Morocco

Considering I'm on the only route between north and west Africa it is amazingly quiet. Other road users include robed Arabs in classic landrovers, trucks and vans carrying all manner of goods and other adventurers in 4x4s, motorcycles and even the occasional retired German couple in a mobile home. There is a real sense of comraderie that comes with the shared thirst for adventure, and more often than not for water, in travelling though such a hostile environment. Having politely turned down a lift from some guys on a desert rally, I made good time with the winds help and have hit it lucky again with the first petrol station for 90k putting me up for the night in one of their truckers rest rooms. From here on in phone signal will be variable so you'll be relieved to hear my blogs won't be so regular!
