Day 28 - Rabat.   I am currently exploring the medinas and casbahs of Rabat while waiting for my Mauritania visa to be processed, and wondering what might have been.... in this year's Wookey Hole Mince Pie Eating Contest! Congratulations to Denzel Gunner for gobbling down 33 pies in 10 minutes and retaining the title as Britain's Biggest Pie Eater. Tri4africa was almost postponed for this prestigious event and I am gutted to have missed out. With tactics revised I am confident I could have had a real crack at the title and with last year's total I would have at least defended my third place finish. Watch out Denzel I'm planning to rack the bike and focus my attention on pies next year! For now I will seek comfort food in the market - there's a particularly appetising cow's head that has been BBQing on the corner of my street since my arrival two days ago that's got its eye on me!
