>Time for a long cut?
Day 14 - 2,013km Llerena, Spain. Things are getting very fruity and it´s not just the malt loaf - It was a hot sweaty day (30c+) on the road during which I had my first puncture of the trip as a result of following a Spanish couple off road on the way to what I believed was going to be a Peregrine Falcon sanctuary but turned out to to be a Pilgrims resting place! not quite as bad as my last language misunderstanding which resulted in what can only be described as ofal dumplings for breakfast... not recommended unless you want breath like a pigs ass for the rest of the day or week even.
I have decided, after great deliberation, to take a 150km+ mountainous detour via Cordaba to viisit my mate Ned´s school and chat with the kids who have been following my progress. Relatively it´s a minor addition and I´m sure I´ll take wrong turns in Africa that result in bigger detours but right now my body is crying out for a rest before I take on the Strait and the prospect of more hills fills me with dread. Still, if I put in just a few more dawn till dusk shifts I should still be able to make Tarifa on sat and be in with a good chance of taking on the sharks early next week!
