Day 104, 9911 km, Agbave, Togo

Camping wild 25km short of Ntose. On arrival in Togo, I was greeted with a return to French speakers and giant perspiration wasps, ten times the size of their Ghanaian counterparts. I’ve been riding through beautiful but challenging tropical hills on variable road conditions. Togo is also significantly more rural and impoverished and rarely visited by tourists, judging from the crowds that gather to watch my every move when I stop for water. With one day to maximise Togo, assuming I can navigate the country without a map, tomorrow promises to be a Togolese experimental eating binge, French communications permitting!
